ICF MR Residential Services

Each residential facility is a community-based facility and serves individuals from El Paso County who are eligible for a level of care from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). Training is provided to eliminate deficits in personal skills essential for privacy and independence. Each resident receives a unique, individualized, plan of care.

This plan identifies priority needs, sets measurable goals and objectives, activities, experiences, and/or therapies and includes a review of the individual's responses to services as well as whether services continue to be necessary. Length of stay is determined by the ability of the program to meet the individuals needs appropriately, as determined by the interdisciplinary team.

Component service areas of ICF-MR Programs include transportation, 24-hour supervision, social services, psychological services, nursing services, psychiatric services, prescription and over-the-counter medication training, cooking skills, money skills, recreation/ leisure skills training, oral hygiene training, safety skills training, community mobility, housekeeping skills, clothing care and personal grooming/hygiene skills.
